Volunteering As Photographers
One way you can contribute to a local charity is by volunteering to photograph their fundraising events.
Twin Cities’ club members have regularly offered their photography skills at the Ride for Roswell. Held on the fourth Saturday of June, The Ride for Roswell is one of the nation’s most significant cycling fundraising events that brings a community of people together to raise funds for Roswell Park, celebrate cancer survivors, and pay tribute to those we’ve lost. Volunteering as an event photographer at the Ride offers ample opportunities to capture photos of riders, team tents, volunteers at rest stops, activities at UB Amherst, and sponsors’ signage. These photos are used to promote the event. All that is required is your camera and access to editing software. Photo volunteer shifts are scheduled based on your availability at a time that is convenient to your schedule.
More information on registering for this event will be available closer to the actual date. For examples of photos taken each year, visit the Ride for Roswell Flickr site.
